1. Learn functions of the PACS

2. Learn utility of MIP/MPR

3. Learn various forms of windowing - eg metastatic window

4. Learn to check demographics

5. Check Clinical History

6. Read previous reports

7. Some of the common missed findings: KUB Stones / spine fracture /nodes /left lobe liver lesions

8. Learn to compare studies

9. Follow a protocol to see a scan, regardless of the clinical history

10. Initially focus on picking up the findings , rather than diagnosis

11. Think of the differential diagnosis to your findings

12. Apply your clinical knowledge and lab findings to the findings to narrow down the diagnosis. 

13. Should know how to diagnose typical solid lesions like: Liver hemangioma, HCC, RCC, Angiomyolipoma, Adrenal adenoma etc

14. Be aware of various phases: Triphasic CT Scan, CT Urography, CT Enterography etc

15. Know about various windowing: Soft tissue / Bone window / Metastatic window / lung window
