- Bradycardia with hypotension: cardiac cause
- Bradycardia with hypertension and cheyne-strokes breathing: intracranial cause
- tachycardia with hypotension: bleeding
- Unequal pupils: uncal herniation.
- Pinpoint pupils: Pontine hemorrhage and opiate overdose.
- Tachycardia, desaturation/hypoxia, chest pain, hypotension and ECG (sinus tachy/RBBB/S1 Q3 T3 pattern) and high D-dimer: pulmonary embolism.
- Chest pain, Diaphoresis, hypotension (inferior wall RV), hypertension, normotensive, ECG (ST elevation), regional wall abnormality in echo and raised cardiac enzymes: MI.
- Raised D-dimer levels: pulmonary embolism
- High lactate: ischemia
- High TTG (transglutaminase) levels are seen in celiac disease.
- Hypertriglyceridemia with acute pancreatitis can have normal amylase levels.
- Very high SGOT and SGPT is suggestive of acute hepatitis.
